The Bel Paese is rich in places where historically, significant ceramic activity has developed.

These cities have joined the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities (AiCC) in order to create a national network to collaborate in supporting activities of their ceramic tradition.

These are the Italian associated municipalities:
Albisola Superiore, Albissola Marina, Ariano Irpino, Ascoli Piceno, Assemini, Bassano del Grappa, Burgio, Caltagirone, Castellamonte, Castelli, Cava dei Tirreni, Cerreto Sannita, Civita Castellana, Deruta, Este, Faenza, Grottaglie, Gualdo Tadino, Gubbio, Impruneta , Laterza, Laveno Mombello, Lodi, Mondovì, Montelupo Fiorentino, Naples, Nove, Oristano, Orvieto, Pesaro, San Lorenzello, Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sciacca, Sesto Fiorentino, Squillace, Urbania, Vietri sul Mare.
